It is a crisis of David Cameron’s making yet he is in denial about its scale and has no idea how to turn it around. Local people whose hospitals are in danger of being overwhelmed needs answers urgently.
There is a clear choice at the next election between a Tory second term that will threaten the future of the NHS as we know it and Labour’s plan to transform our NHS so it can meet the challenges of the 21st century.
We’ll tackle the current A&E crisis by helping families see a GP, getting more nurses answering calls to NHS 111, halting the closure of walk-in centres, tackling failing social care and recruiting former nurses back into practice.
